We’re delighted to share the release of the Western Alliance 2025-26 Annual Report.

Over the past year, Western Alliance continued to strengthen research translation across western Victoria, supporting clinicians, researchers and communities to turn evidence into better health outcomes.

Highlights from the year include:

  • Securing funding to expand First Nations-led research and Consumer and Community Involvement initiatives.
  • Supporting more than 130 emerging researchers through the STaRR research capability-building program.
  • Funding 12 research translation projects and supporting additional projects that attracted more than $9.48 million in external funding.
  • Launching the DELIVER Program’s region-wide telehealth Residential In Reach trial to improve care for older people in rural and regional communities.
  • Welcoming more than 200 delegates to the 2025 Western Alliance Symposium in Ballarat.

These achievements reflect the power of collaboration across our health services, universities, primary care partners, consumers and communities, all working towards healthier rural and regional communities benefiting from evidence-based healthcare.

Thank you to our member organisations, partners and supporters whose commitment and collaboration make this work possible.
