Deakin’s Faculty of Health offers more than 50 undergraduate and postgraduate courses to 11,000 Australian and international students in Melbourne, Geelong and Western Victoria, through an innovative blend of face-to-face and online teaching.
We have six Strategic Research Centres: Molecular and Medical Research, Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research, Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing, Population Health, Quality and Patient Safety, and Innovation in Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Treatments. We collaborate with multiple partners: governments, health services, NGOs, community groups, companies, universities and research institutes.
We host the Greater Green Triangle University Department of Rural Health, the WHO Collaborative Centre for Obesity Prevention, an NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in the Economics of Obesity Prevention, the Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes, the Centre for Rural Emergency Medicine and the National Centre for Farmer Health.
